Kollam
Kollam is also known as Quilon a state in Kerala at India’s Malabar Coast line. The place is also a trade hub and famous for its nearby beaches. The place is often referred to a dreamland of Kerala and considered as one of the oldest Ports on the Malabar Coast. In the olden days Kollam was famous for its palaces and the area was having its reputation for cashew plantations. Ashtamudi Lake near to the town is a gateway to Kerala Backwaters. At Thangasseri one can enjoy the wonderful ocean view from the striped 1902 Lighthouse over there.
